Saqr Park is found in the Kieran area of Ras Al Khaimah. The park is beautifully maintained and boasts several large trees, lush green grass and beautiful flowers. It is admired by all including His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi.

All ages are welcome to enter the park free of charge. However, various attractions within the park do cost money. The indoor area of the park contains restaurants, games and shops. Outside, ships and boats along with electronic cars and elephant games are enjoyed by all.

Two trains run through the park and are perfect for a sightseeing excursion. One train is called the Gazelle, and it moves at a very high-speed. The other train within the park is better for sight-seeing as it moves slower.

Very little within the park cost anything monetarily. For that reason, it makes a great getaway for tourist and locals alike. Sitting beneath the large towering trees is a picturesque family picnic location. Of course, rides and games are also available for those that prefer more activity.

Because the park has restaurants and various activities, it is possible for tourists to spend a whole day at Saqr Park and not want to leave. Locals also love the park, and many are thankful to His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi and other government officials for maintaining the park for their use.

Former guest Fashih U shares his opinion of Saqr Park:
“We visited Saqr Park in Ras Al Khaimah Park with our two kids. The park has good activities and the kids loved it. It is nice place to spend time with kids in good weather. It is a very nicely maintained park.”

Iashraf is another guest that shares his experience of Saqr Park:
“We visited the park with our two-year-old daughter. There were plenty of activities for her and us to enjoy. The entry fee for cars to park inside the park’s parking lot is 10 dirham. We took a ride on the train. It was a very short, but it was a nice trip around the park. We paid 10 dirhams altogether for two adults and the little one went on for free. You will find there is pony and camel rides, horse and buggy rides, a roller coaster, water log, sack slides, excluding the sacks, bouncy castles, boats, bumper cars and quad bikes. The rides cost around 5 AED. There are two indoor restaurants and play areas for little children, and everything is sold at a very low price. The best time to go is an hour before sunset in the summer as before then it is unbearably hot. If you want a nice, peaceful and relaxing evening or weekend, without spending too much money, then Saqr Park is the place to go.”

Saqr Park is a welcome oasis in the desert land of Ras Al Khaimah. It is best visited early in the day or late in the evening to avoid the hottest parts of the day. The best attribute of Saqr Park is its affordability. It costs nothing to enter into this beautiful park, other than a small parking fee, and spend the whole day partaking of its beauty and activities.
